Showcasing Hidden Roles in Research & Innovation

Universities have undertaken significant work in recent years to address a number of issues and challenges with the broader ‘research culture’. This has included dedicated action plans to support postdoctoral and early-career researchers, PGR students, technicians and other groups in the ‘research community’; however, these plans often overlook research support staff, who undertake a variety of critical roles that drive excellent research and innovation, but aren’t always recognised for this.

This campaign aims to showcase the important contributions that non-academic staff make to research and innovation activities within the University

This campaign is one element of the work taking place as part of the University’s Research Culture Action Plan (RCAP). The Plan was published in January 2021 and it represents our commitment to promote a more supportive, inclusive, and collaborative research culture over the coming years.
